Market research · October 2024
Who analysts follow in 2024
A ranking of experts, channels and podcasts
We are sharing the first useful insights from our market research: lists of the experts and professional channels that analysts follow.
In October 2024, NEWHR ran a large-scale survey of Russian-speaking analysts in IT. The sample was 1,293 people. Respondents answered our questions about their salary, desired employers, key skills, the experts they follow and much more.
Who took part in the survey? Product, marketing, data, web, BI, systems and business analysts.
Experts
We included in the questionnaire a closed list of the 15 most popular experts, based on our previous survey. Respondents could pick one or more names from our list, write in any name not on the list, or tick "I don't follow anyone".
The leader among the experts on the list was Anatoly Karpov: every second analyst surveyed picked him. About 30% of respondents each said they follow Valery Babushkin and Roman Bunin. And 21% chose "I don't follow anyone".
Below is the full closed list with percentages, LinkedIn links and information about each expert.
